FINAL CALL FOR ENTRIES
LATE SUBMISSIONS CONCLUDE JUNE 30TH

Filmmaker submissions conclude on Tuesday, June 30th next week, and then our screeners begin their initial review of all films. Make sure to get your film in ASAP if you haven't done so already. Don't forget that all alumni filmmakers previously accepted to the Brooklyn SciFi Film Festival can enter new films for free! Please fill out the fee waiver request form with your name, film name, and year/season. Remember, all film submissions must be SciFi genre and follow the rules of the festival.

Volunteer as a Screener or Juror

We're looking for SciFi fans interested in volunteering as festival screeners for 2026. Festival screeners are responsible for viewing and rating a minimum of 12 to 15 short films plus one feature film over a 3-week period starting 7/2/26 and ending 7/26/26. Do you have the right stuff? Please complete our screener volunteer form. Training starts today with our first optional Zoom session at 3:00 PM ET and additional options next week. If you have film production, education, media, or industry experience, you can apply for a juror position that will start in August.

Our novel for June came in at a close second for contemporary picks on our survey. The story takes place around a devastating flu pandemic that threatens society as we know it. It's often cited as one of the more prophetic novels of recent times, but takes things well beyond the covid pandemic.

A Digital Community For Independent Film

Brooklyn SciFi and the team at Cyber-NY are working on something new. We're building an independent network for film professionals to share and monetize their work while connecting with fans. Our hope is to create a community with a year-round presence that encourages collaboration and the development of an independent streaming platform.

We're looking for intrepid filmmakers to join our beta for free by creating an account profile and uploading several films they're okay with sharing. We won't make your work public without prior consent, and our admin tools allow for self-management and deletion of videos.
