Deep Space Degenerates Premieres On YouTube February 3rd

Episode 001 – Arrivals and Departures - Premieres February 3, 2026

Brooklyn SciFi is excited to announce that the new web series from creative team Johnnie and Dara Semerad at Quiteman, entitled Deep Space Degenerates, will premiere on their YouTube channel on February 3rd.  We're huge fans of the pilot that screened at the Best of Brooklyn night and took home a Silver Medal. 

In the grand tradition of sending our "finest" to explore new frontiers (like that time Columbus crewed his ship with convicts), space exploration's future isn't the noble quest we imagined – it's run by corporations who care more about profits than boldly going anywhere.

Each episode follows this crew of misfits to another world making deliveries for the galaxy's biggest arms manufacturer – well, when their ill-conceived scams aren't getting in the way. Their captain's collecting marriages and restraining orders, the first mate's fighting his inner frat boy, their doctor's addicted to everything, and Donny in maintenance is one coffee away from... we're afraid to ask. Rounding out this circus is their new navigator, whose greatest achievement so far is finding the ship's bathroom. Throw in a collection of questionable tagalongs, and you've got a crew turning simple deliveries into spectacular disasters. But hey, they're still alive and mostly employed – in space, that counts as a win.
