About
The Brooklyn SciFi Film Festival made its successful debut in 2020 recognizing more than 100 new, independent science fiction films created by filmmakers from 28 countries. Now we're back for our 5th season celebrating independent voices in science fiction storytelling with online and in-person screenings October 14th through the 20th, 2024.
We remain on a mission to bring the best independent, SciFi films to one of the most innovative and creative hubs in the world: Brooklyn. This thrilling, week-long film festival will feature works by some of the most dynamic minds in the genre. Our panel of judges will again select the best films for recognition and live screenings, and all selections will be available to stream online with a festival pass.
This year, BSFFF will feature all-new exclusive online events, screening parties, and filmmaker commentary. And continuing with festival excluives like "The Future Sounds of Brooklyn," a compilation of SciFi-inspired music from musicians across the globe, and Season 5 of The Sixth Borough, our curated series highlighting 3 fantastic science fiction short films united in a common theme with new episodes streaming each day of the festival.
Visit our profile on Film Freeway to submit your film, purchase event passes, and catch up on screenings, special events, and much more!
